Quaking Aspen trees are native to the Northern Range of Yellowstone National Park. Aspen trees take 60-80 years to mature then show a rapid deterioration after about 120 years of age. In rare instances a tree can reach 200 years of age. The “quaking” leaves can be mesmerizing to watch and they add a tremendous amount of color to the landscape in the fall.
